About Lexicon Garden

Lexicon Garden is a service for browsing, publishing, and managing ATProtocol lexicon schemas. The service leverages ATProtocol infrastructure, where your data resides in your Personal Data Server (PDS) rather than our centralized database.

User Obligations

By using Lexicon Garden, you agree to:

  • Use the service lawfully and in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Only publish lexicon schemas that you have the right to publish
  • Not use this service to publish malicious, harmful, or misleading content
  • Protect your ATProtocol credentials and account access

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of any lexicon schemas you publish. Lexicon Garden maintains indexed references for search and discovery functionality but does not claim ownership rights to user-generated content.

Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove or de-index content that violates our policies, contains spam or fraud, or at our discretion without notice.

Disclaimer

Lexicon Garden is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not verify the accuracy or suitability of lexicon schemas published through our service.

Privacy and Related Policies

Your use of Lexicon Garden is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexicon Garden and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Philosophy

Lexicon Garden is built on the principle of data minimization. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service, and we leverage ATProtocol's decentralized architecture to keep your data under your control whenever possible.

Information We Collect

  • Email Address: We collect your email address as provided by your PDS for notification and billing purposes. You may change the email address on-file or remove it at any time.
  • ATProtocol Identity: Your Decentralized Identifier (DID), handle, and profile information from your PDS
  • Public Records: All public ATProtocol records for indexing and management purposes
  • Request Information: We use anonymized information associated with requests for metrics and site reliability purposes, including general geographic region

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Authenticate your identity via ATProtocol OAuth
  • Provide search and discovery functionality
  • Manage lexicon DNS records for the garden.lexicon.* namespace
  • Monitor and improve service reliability

We do not sell your information to third parties, use it for advertising, or engage in cross-site tracking.

Data Retention

  • Session data is cleared when you explicitly log out
  • Indexed lexicon schemas are retained for historical reference even after deletion from your PDS
  • DNS records for garden.lexicon.* namespaces are preserved for lexicon resolution continuity

Your Rights

You can access, delete, or correct your data through ATProtocol mechanisms or by contacting us. You may revoke application permissions at any time through your PDS settings.

Do Not Track

Lexicon Garden does not track users across third-party websites and does not respond to Do Not Track signals because we do not engage in tracking practices that such signals are designed to prevent.

Children's Privacy

Lexicon Garden is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

International Users

Lexicon Garden is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
