## Definitions

### `fyi.opensocial.deleteGroup`

**Type**: `procedure`

Delete the group: its account, its repo and its spaces on this host, and the host's own state about it. Irreversible. Requires group.configure, or, for a deactivated group, having held it when the group was switched off. Records members wrote into its spaces live on their own PDSes and are not touched. If no steward holds a recovery key, the group's did:plc is tombstoned too, since nobody could ever use it again; with one, the DID is left for its holders.

#### Input

**Encoding**: `application/json`

| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|----------|------|----------|-------------|
| `group` | `string` (did) | Yes | The group DID. Every method is served by the group's host and authorized against that group's roles. |

#### Output

**Encoding**: `application/json`

| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|----------|------|----------|-------------|
| `tombstoned` | `boolean` | No | Whether the group's DID was ended in the directory. |
